This document presents learning expectations for Clark County School District (District) students based on the Nevada Academic Content Standards (NVACS) for English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies. Also included are learning expectations in the areas of computer science, health, library, music, physical education, and visual arts. The learning expectations presented in this document can help you know how your student is doing in elementary school. Tips and activities are also provided to help your student learn at home. Questions are listed to assist you as you learn about your student's progress.
STUDENT ARRIVAL

Students may enter the building at 8:30am. Family members may check-in through Ident-A-Kid to obtain a Visitor Badge. Students and families may go to the breakfast area or playground. Supervision is provided at this.
​
The bell to line up for the Morning Ceremony will ring at 8:55am. After the Morning Ceremony, students will enter their classrooms with their teachers. Parents will exit through the same door they entered the campus. Parents who are scheduled to volunteer and have signed in with a Volunteer Badge can enter the classrooms at the teacher's discretion.
STUDENT DISMISSAL

Kindergarten students who take the bus will be dismissed with a staff member to the bus area.
All students will be dismissed through the front gate.
Bus students will be dismissed first.
Students going to after-school care will walk from their designated exit door to their after-school care designated meeting space.
Teacher will dismiss students to be met by their parents/guardians or to leave school independently.
All students must be picked up by 3:30pm. If prior arrangements have not been made, the CCSD School Police will be contacted.
HEALTH & SAFETY TOOLS PSA
​
All Clark County Schools are equipped with life-saving tools for specific emergencies. These tools are provided to schools to help students and staff feel safe. These include:
​
Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
Epinephrine (Epi-Pens)
Naloxone nasal spray (NARCAN)
Stop the Bleed Kits
​
After determining the need to use any of these tools emergency medical personnel must be contacted for continued care of the impacted person while staff are addressing the emergency.
